Nick Bosa's Historic Payday - Breaking Records In NFL Defensive Salaries

Adam Schefter of ESPN and Ian Rapoport, an insider for the NFL Network, both broke the news about this knowledge on Wednesday.
According to both Schefterand Rapoport, the agreement contains a guaranteed sum of $122.5 million.
CNN has reached out to Bosa's agency as well as the 49ers in an effort to obtain feedback on the specifics of the deal. The San Francisco 49ers acquired Bosa from the Los Angeles Chargers in a trade.
Kyle Shanahan, the head coach of the San Francisco 49ers, explained to the media that the reason he was running three minutes late to the news conference on Wednesday was because he had just been informed of the deal.
Shanahan is responsible for overseeing the team's day-to-day operations. Shanahan is not just the head coach of the team but also the general manager.
Shanahan said:
Obviously pumped up about it. I thought it would come to fruition sometime last week and it didn’t, which made me nervous, and made me kind of move on with it just because I thought I had to. But I mean, we all knew Nick was going to get rewarded like he did.- Kyle Shanahan
He stated that Bosa was deserving of the significant contract.
He stated that in the future, as well, "He’s gonna earn it going forward, too."
After the rumored contract was made public, Bosa posted on Instagram, "Shall we."
The response from his teammates was enthusiastic.
Trent Williams, an offensive lineman, emailed the team, saying, "Yes we shall !!!!!!!! Let’s gooooo."
To the tight end, The defensive lineman Arik Armstead posted "Lessss goooo," while the offensive lineman George Kittle added, "171 holy Toledo Batman."
Bosa concluded the previous year's National FootballLeague season with 18.5 sacks, which put him in first position in the league for that statistic.
In the annals of the franchise's history, the total number of sacks in a single season was the second-highest ever recorded. (Aldon Smith had 19.5 sacks in 2012, which was enough to lead the league in that category.)
Bosa has been a part of this team for a total of four seasons, and during that time he has started 49 out of the 51 games that have been played during the regular season for this team.
During that time, he has collected a total of 156 tackles, 43 sacks, eight forced fumbles, and one interception. In addition, he has recovered one fumble. In addition to that, he has a total of eight fumbles that were caused by him.
When the San Francisco 49ers play the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, it will be the first game of the 2023 National FootballLeague season for both teams.
According to the website Spotrac, which keeps track of sports salaries, Bosa is expected to earn $34 million a year, which will put him ahead of Aaron Donald, the defensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams, who gets an average of $31,666,667 every season. Bosa's salary will be higher than Donald's.
The total value of Bosa's deal places it ninth among all of them. There are eight quarterbacks represented in the top eight agreements.
